MODERNISATION – as this is prepared hopefully important decisions are being taken to enable athletics in the UK to move forward.  Certainly if change is to come Warwickshire County A A wish to be proactive.

 

COUNTY ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2005 

I)                    Nuneaton 10 Miles – Wins for Garry Payne (George Eliot Striders) and M40.  Kate Wright (Stratford) won the Women’s title and W35

II)                   Kenilworth Half Marathon – More medals for Garry Payne (Well done!) with Eamon O’Neill (Sphinx A C) taking the M50.  Carol Adams (Centurion) returned to scoop the Women’s race.

Thank you to all who promoted this year.

 

2006 – 7th May Stratford Half Marathon

            4th June Northbrook 10km

            Followed by           Godiva Mid Summer 5

                                          Birmingham Rowheath 5km

                                          Rugby 10 Miles

MIDLAND COUNTIES INTER COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY – Saturday 17th December,     Wreake Valley, Leicestershire.  First Race 11.00am

Warwickshire teams will be nominated on the day from those entered.

 

WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY A.A. CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS with LEICESTERSHIRE - Saturday 14TH January 2006    A prospectus and entry form is enclosed for copying and use.  In addition it will be available on the Website before the end of October.

Let’s make these joint Championships a great success.  Please get your entries in early.  Both Counties entries will appear in one programme.

 

 

 

 

ROAD RELAYS -2006 With the Midland 12 Stage now on Saturday 25th March our WARWICKSHIRE OPEN ROAD RELAY will now be held in Sutton Park on Saturday 18th March at 2.30pm.  This decision follows wide consultation.

 

TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS – Confirmed that these will be on

SATURDAY13th and SUNDAY 14th MAY

At Edmondscote Sports Ground, Leamington Spa. Leicestershire will again join us.
